AI Wildfire Detection

Dryad use a large-scale IoT network of sensors to detect wildfires and to provide valuable forest insights and analytics.

Silvanet is a wireless environmental sensor network based on LoRaWAN: the leading open-standard for long-range radio IoT networks. Dryad’s patent-pending distributed architecture enables large-scale deployments in areas without existing network coverage. Data collected in the network is processed using cloud-based big data tools for analytics, monitoring and alerting.

The Silvanet wildfire solution is comprised of:

  • Silvanet Wildfire Sensor – designed for ultra-early detection, identifying forest fires within minutes to minimise damage and impact.
  • Mesh Gateway – expands the Silvanet Network for large-scale deployments.
  • Border Gateway – connects the Mesh Gateways and relays messages from Silvanet Wildfire Sensors to the Silvanet Cloud Platform. For remote locations lacking mobile network coverage, the Silvanet Border Gateway incorporates satellite connectivity, ensuring reliable communication in even the most isolated areas.
  • Cloud Platform – an all-in-one web app offering an integrated suite of tools including deployment planning, device management, site health monitoring, and alert management.
